Meet the New Members of Landmark’ Board of Trustees

He joined Wilson Realty in 2007 as a licensed real estate agent, received his real estate broker’s license in 2007 and remains in that position.

Beau Malone Wilson.

Very active in civic organizations, he is presently serving on the board of the Kiwanis Club, as vice president. He is a member of the DeKalb County Association of Realtors, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Payne.

Wilson is married to the former Paige Parker, who teaches 3rd grade at Williams Avenue Elementary School. They are the parents of two children, Elizabeth Katherine (“Lizzi—Kate”) and Parker Malone.

Lettering in three sports in high school (football, track and wrestling) and with a talent for doing everything from working in a restaurant, on a construction crew, and managing a mulch selling business, Beau’s gregarious personality is well suited to many tasks he will face serving on our board. He can transition from sipping lemonade at Toomer’s Corner to preparing gourmet dishes or operating heavy equipment. His love of family, friends, hometown, and the history that ties them together, makes him a perfect fir for Landmarks. Welcome to your new adventure, Beau.

In pursuit of her goals, she attended Auburn University, Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia, and graduated from Jacksonville State University with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion and Merchandising.

Holly Elizabeth Watson.

She is a cabinet designer at Lowe’s, and in her “spare” time pursues her other interest as a real estate agent with Mentone Realty. Her creativity isn’t put on a shelf when she leaves work. She has enjoyed remodeling her historic home, and spends much time sewing or doing anything else that involves creativity.

Holly is a bundle of energy with ideas bouncing off the wall. She brings to Landmarks a fresh outlook that will transform and streamline many of our projects.

This young lady has been a volunteer with our organization for a couple of years, and is eager to take on any project assigned. Sometimes we get lucky. In addition to all of the other things she has contributed, Holly has also been busy helping us sort and organize historic material for preservation in the Landmarks Archives. Holly, we feel like we have just welcomed the reincarnation of the “Unsinkable Molly Brown” to our board.
